Savour artful adaptations of the Australian continent's local produce, enhanced with a selection of the finest wines indigenous to each region for an escapade like no other.
Wednesday, 24th September 2008 – a team of award winning Australian chefs, currently visiting Cambodia on a promotional tour, will be preparing a gourmet dinner in Raffles fine dining restaurant Le Royal featuring fine wines and food from Australia. The menu will be devised by team leader Don Hancey, a well-known West Australian chef and will feature items such as Western Australian pearl meat sashimi or seared kangaroo fillet with Kampot peppercorns.
The team is made up of 4 professional chefs from the Canberra based School of Hospitality Management who are the winners of the Lifestyle Food Channel Australian Regional Culinary Competition in 2007.
‘Tastes of Australia’ can be enjoyed in five courses, including matching wines, at Restaurant Le Royal on Wednesday, 24th September 2008 at 7pm for USD 55 per person.
On the following Thursday and Saturday night (25th & 27th September 2008) you can find ‘Tastes of Australia’ at Café Monivong’s buffet selection.
